Excellent Extraordinary Egypt drawings from Year Three children

I always enjoy sharing my extensive collection of books about Ancient Egypt with children at Moor Green Primary Academy in Birmingham. This fascinating subject is brought alive by looking at a range of pop-ups, lift the flap books and other intriguing formats. You can see last year's work here.

This time I asked them to draw a picture of me wearing my book-themed top, earrings and book bag and was astonished at the variety of individual interpretations. Which one looks most like me?

They then wrote some adjectives to describe their responses to the books and finally spent time drawing a couple of favourite book covers.

Parents and teachers should be very impressed with their children’s careful and creative work in the gallery below. Browse and enjoy.
