An Interview with Ruby Wright
The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.
We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with author/illustrator, Ruby Wright. Ruby studied sculpture, worked at the BBC and took a foray into printmaking before embarking on a career in picture books. She tries to draw from life every day and her debut book, Animal Crackers was published in 2023 by Rocket Bird Books and nominated for the Klaus Flugge Prize. Her second book, Invisible Dogs is out now, also with Rocket Bird.
