An Interview with Jessica Wilson

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with Jessica Wilson. Jessica was shortlisted for the 2018 Aesthetica Creative Writing Award and a participant within Penguin Random House's ‘Write Now Live’ diversity initiative held in conjunction with the BBC.  Trained at UCL, Jessica is the founder of British Jamaican independent publishers, Tallawah Publishing who are committed to amplifying voices at the interstices.  Her first poetry collection, 'The Bulldog and the Hummingbird’ is available for pre-order on 22nd June 2020.
