An Interview With Todd Henderson

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with the children's author, Todd Henderson. Todd is the author of The Dragon's Surprise series in collaboration with the illustrator, James McNulty. They have also worked together on The Boggle-Eyed Gog Meets... and Ugly Pugly and Pigly Winks. On the Magical Tree website, Todd has said of himself that: "As a child, I lost interest extraordinarily quickly and want to use that so-called disadvantage to my advantage. In writing captivating short, verse based stories for a wide audience, I believe I can interest even the most brutally critical of children (such as myself)."
