An Interview With Candy Gourlay
The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.
We are thrilled to present an exclusive interview with the prize winning writer of novels for children, Candy Gourlay. Candy was born and raised in the Philippines but is now based in the UK and her breakthrough book Tall Story was published in 2010 to great critical acclaim. She followed this up in 2013 with Shine which was longlisted for the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize.
