An Interview With Moira McPartlin
The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.
We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with the Scottish author, Moira McPartlin. Moira's breakthrough novel was The Incomers which tells the tale of a West African woman moving to a small town in 1960s Scotland and she has followed this up with Ways of the Doomed, part one of a projected trilogy. She also writes short stories, sub-edits a magazine for mountaineers and is an active member of Scottish PEN. Her first novel was nominated for the prestigious Saltaire Society First Book Award.
