Roald Dahl : The Man Who Believed In Magic
It seems that just about everybody is talking and writing about the author Roald Dahl in this centenary year of his birth and we wanted to add a Letterpress Project publication to the mix. We have collected together writing, poetry, drawings and photos that we think sum-up why he has been so influential and special to all those who wanted to make a contribution - from children’s authors, teachers students, friends and family. Every piece in this collection tells a different personal story but all are affectionate and pay homage to the author’s impressive skills with language and storytelling. Contributors - whether as readers or teachers - admire his ability to lift children and adults into vivid imaginative worlds that remind us of the best traditional fairy tales and that are peopled by memorably described characters that are as powerful as those created by Charles Dickens.
