An Interview with Mimi Thebo

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with the children's author Mimi Thebo. Mimi is a Carnegie-longlisted children's author. Her work has been translated into twelve languages, adapted for a BAFTA-winning BBC film, illustrated in light and signed for deaf children by ITV. Born in the USA, she is based in SouthWest England, where she is Senior Lecturer in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and the Royal Literary Fellow for Cardiff University.

Mimi has her own website with more details about her and her books which can be found on this link
