An Interview With Tim Lane

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with the author and illustrator, Tim Lane.  Tim  (www.timlane.co.uk) is an exhibiting artist/Illustrator/author based in Bristol. He graduated from The Falmouth School of Art in 2004 with a first class (BA Hons) degree in Illustration. The degree - which concentrated mostly on book illustration - helped give structure to his love for working directly from his imagination and has imbued his artwork with its rich narrative quality.  Tim has exhibited extensively in galleries in Bristol, London and San Francisco. He is represented in Bristol by www.antlersgallery.com, a gallery that champions contemporary artists through innovative projects: exhibitions, fairs, collaborations and commissions. His recent book has been reviewed on the Letterpress site and you can see it on this link.
