An Interview With Kit De Waal
The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.
We are delighted to present an exclusive interview with the author, Kit De Waal. Kit was born in Birmingham and worked for fifteen years in criminal and family law, was a magistrate for several years and sits on adoption panels. Her writing has received numerous awards including the Bridport Flash Fiction Prize 2014 and 2015 and the SI Leeds Literary Reader's Choice Prize 2014. My Name is Leon - which has been reviewed on this this site - is her first novel.
