The Letterpress Project : delighted to help with the Newman Book Bonanza

Throughout the week of 14th - 18th December 2015, The Letterpress Project has been delighted to help organise and deliver the Newman University Big Book Bonanza. And what a success it's been! Well over 2,000 books were donated and collected ready for the Bonanza and  over 1200 have been distributed to staff, students and members of the community who came to the university atrium to see what was on offer.

The books were all offered for free and those taking them away were encouraged to make a charitable donation - the money collected will be split between the National Libraries Campaign and The Letterpress Project itself. There have been some fabulous and very generous donations and quite a few of the books were brand new. We couldn't get enough children's stock - whatever we had simply flew off the tables the minute they arrived.

The next Bonanza is scheduled for the week before Easter 2016. Let's hope we can make it even bigger and better!
