An Interview With Cliff McNish

The Letterpress Project has asked authors and illustrators to think about what has inspired them as artists, what their favourite books are and how they relate to their audience - we've also asked them if they themselves are book collectors.

We are thrilled to present an interview by the leading children's and young adult writer, Cliff McNish. Cliff was born in Sunderland, a city in the north-east of England. When his debut middle-grade fantasy novel THE DOOMSPELL appeared The Bookseller immediately hailed him as ‘a great new voice in writing for children.’ The Doomspell Trilogy went on to become a huge international success, translated into 26 languages worldwide. His ghost story BREATHE was voted in May 2013 by The Schools Network of British Librarians as one of the top children’s and adult novels of all time.

Cliff has his own website if you want to read more about him which can be accessed on this link: https://www.cliffmcnish.com/
