Ian Rankin and Ali Smith lead warning of 'devastating' Scottish arts cuts

scottishcuts.jpgSome of the biggest names in Scottish literature, from Ian Rankin to Ali Smith, have warned the Scottish government that cuts to literature funding would leave future generations to look back on the early 21st century “and lament the absence of the next Muriel Spark, the next Robert Louis Stevenson, the next Edwin Morgan”.
